The ship's manifest listing Salomon, the son of Samuel MANSBACH from Lisowek, identifying Passaic, New Jersey as his destination.

Samuel Ha Levy MANSBUCH

circa 1860-1920

Salomon Peretz Ha Levy MANZBACH, the son of Samuel and Estera, was born in 1890 in Jablonika/Lisowek Poland.  He arrived at Ellis Island, New York aboard the Kronprinzessin Cecile in 1911 heading for Passaic, New Jersey.  He was identified as Solomon MANZBACH in the ship's manifest.

This Solomon Peretz MANZBACH is the fourth man in the "Polish" MANSBACH family to bear the name Shlomo Peretz MANSBACH,  which I find to be extremely significant.   Clearly, he was named after one or two of his Shlomo Peretz ancestors,  which could link him and his father to the family of Shlomo Peretz MANSBACH, born circa 1830.   In accordance with Jewish custom,  he very well could have been named after his grandfather, who would have been the 1825 Shlomo Peretz:

Samuel and Ester had two children - Symcha Joel and Mana. Symcha Joel married Ryfka Grungling (Kapner) and they had children Lejzor, Leib(a), Samuel, and Estera. Mana married Mozes Silber and they had children Lejzor and Chaim.

Samuel MANSBUCH was born around 1860.  Polish archives record the birth of his son Solomon Peretz MANSBACH in 1890.   Samuel MANSBACH and his wife Estera were living in Jablonica, Poland at that time.  of note, members of the family of Joel MANSBACH (later the MANCBACH family) apparently also lived in Jablonica in that timeframe.   But there is no certain link between the families.  Sadly,  with the exception of Solomon Peretz,  all of Samuel's family perished in the Shoah
